I'm so excited to share with you these handcrafted bags from Mexico that are not only stylish but sustainable.
While on a trip to Mexico last spring with my husband and 9-year-old son, I came across these handmade bags on the beach. I was immediately drawn to them because of their size and bright colors.
When I returned home, everyone asked about my bag, commenting on how unique and versatile it was!
Because of the number of requests I received, I reached out to a contact that I met in Mexico who was able to make some bags for a few friends. The requests began to flood in!

After leaving the corporate world in 2019 after 20 years, these bags became my passion project, not only because of the beautiful end product but also because of the incredible artisanship and sustainable materials that go into making them. These bags were originally carried by indigenous women for grocery shopping and are now being worn as fashion accessories by the locals.
Every bag is handmade entirely of recycled plastic. The creation of each bag takes a great deal of strength and about 4-5 hours of hard work. The artisan begins with a wooden mold of the bag. They then pull the plastic line around the bag, making the desired pattern. Most of the designs come directly from the imagination of the artist.
These bags are perfect for sporting events, the pool, the beach, baseball field or anywhere else you travel in your daily life.

A native to the Atlanta area and avid baseball fan (go Braves!), I am now 100% dedicated to showing the world these beautiful creations. Because each one is handmade, I am able to place custom orders for you!
